I think everyone should have a theme song, something that makes their heart sing when they hear it. You know the kind of song that lifts your spirits and makes you rock out in your mini van, BMW, Honda, or whatever you are driving. Now as I often spend my days rocking out in the mini van to 80's on 8 or 90's on 9 I don't often hear newer songs, but lately this one song has just spoken to my soul. Through everything that's gone on the past 2 days there have been times that it's been challenging to find sunshine, but this song does it for me everytime. Actually I have an entire happy songs playlist that I'll post at the end of this blog. I challenge you to listen to this playlist and NOT feel happy. But this song embodies everything I feel about my husband, my baby, my family, and my friends.
Brighter Than The Sun by Colbie Caillat
Stop me on the corner
I swear you hit me like a vision
I, I, I wasn't expecting
But who am I to tell fate where it's supposed to go with it
Don't you blink, you might miss it
See we got a right to just love it or leave it
You find it and keep it
Cause it ain't every day you get the chance to say
Oh, this is how it starts, lightening strikes the heart
It goes off like a gun, brighter than the sun
Oh, it could be the stars falling from the sky
Shining how we want, brighter than the sun
I've never seen it, but I found this love, I'm gonna feed it
You better believe I'm gonna treat it
Better than anything I've ever had
Cause you're so damn beautiful
Read it, it's signed and delivered, let's seal it
Boy, we go together like peanuts and Paydays
Marley and reggae
And everybody needs to get a chance to say
Oh, this is how it starts, lightening strikes the heart
It goes off like a gun, brighter than the sun
Oh, it could be the stars falling from the sky
Shining how we want, brighter than the sun
Everything is like a white out cause we shook a shook a shine down
Even when the light's out, but I can see you blow
Got my head up in the rafters, got my happy ever after
Never felt this way before, ain't felt this way before
I swear you hit me like a vision
I, I, I wasn't expecting
But who am I to tell fate
Where it's supposed to go
Oh, this is how it starts, lightening strikes the heart
It goes off like a gun, brighter than the sun
Oh, it could be the stars falling from the sky
Shining how we want, brighter than the sun
What a great song!!!!!! Okay, so now for the happy tunes playlist. I usually put it on shuffle.
